Sunday is a Scylla rugby day!

Watch the Milwaukee Scylla rugby team play for the USA Rugby Division 2 women's national championship Sunday at 2 p.m. CT/1 p.m. MT online live via The Rugby Channel. The Scylla will play San Francisco Golden Gate for the national trophy.

It's the Scylla's first appearance in the national title match and the third-straight year that a women's team from our state has appeared in the national final. The Scylla feature a strong roster of local players and several alumni from the state's collegiate and high school programs, highlighting the outstanding women's rugby community here in Wisconsin.

The Scylla completed the Midwest regular season undefeated and then swept the Midwest Championship over Buffalo and the USA Rugby national qualifying rounds in Pittsburgh two weeks ago with victories against Harrisburg and Fort Miami. A win today gives the Scylla the national title and a perfect record overall, a feat not accomplished by any other women's team in Wisconsin for Division 2.

Please consider making a donation to the Scylla to help the team cover the costs of attending the nationl finals. Go here to make a donation - https://www.gofundme.com/scyllastrong2017.

If you are in the Milwaukee area, Scylla fans will also be watching together the livestream to "Scyllabrate" together at the team's sponsor bar Brewski's Sports Club on 76th and Mound.
