Today marks the Wisconsin Rugby Club's long-awaited return to the Division 2 men's Midwest Championship. It's a familiar place for the local Madison club over the last decade, but last year's qualification proved elusive and the team is hungry for that title.

Wisconsin kicks off against Detroit at 1:30 p.m. in Lemont, Ill. The match is considered part of the USA Rugby national championship series Round of 16. See the bracket here. The winner advances to the national quarterfinals.

Wisconsin's D2 side last won the Midwest title in 2015 (D4 in 2016), eventually advancing to the USA Rugby national final. WRC has won the national title twice in 1998 and 2013 respectively. The club finished as national runner-up in both 2012 and 2015.

The team provides game play-by-play via social media, so follow live action for today's match via Twitter or Facebook.
